Our displays were doing a few odd things the last couple of weeks (first time ever). The details seemed to be unrelated to each other. At first I suspected the 12V battery was going but that tested out fine (very good health in fact).

There were 6 software updates applied today, which were done through the USB port. This is something I've not seen done before. My service receipt says:

---------------------

HEATING / COOLING TECH(S):283 INTERNAL
CUSOTMER STATES COULD NOT ADJUST CLIMATE CONTROL
ADVISED

ENGINE MAJOR TECH(S):283 INTERNAL
CUSTOMER VEHICLE WAS IN MOUNTAIN MODE AND SWITCH OVER TO
NORMAL MODE STILL SHOWED FUEL GAGE NOT ELECTRIC
PROGRAMMING

BODY ELECTRICAL TECH(S):283 INTERNAL
INT SCREEN FREEZES----WITH RADIO TOO
PROGRAMMING

BODY ELECT CONCERN TECH(S):283 WARRANTY
CUSTOMER STATES TOUCHED HOME BUTTON ON DISPLAY AND DID NOT
DO ANYTHING EXCEPT BEEP THREE TIMES

15-NA-081: Radio Locks Up and/or Resets, Bluetooth Pairing,
IPhone Loses Pairing, Bluetooth Connection And Audio
Concerns, Street Names Flickering, TBT Routing Screen
Displayed After Download is Finished, XM Weather Alerts
Cannot Be Selected Off, Voice Recognition and Navigation
Updates, Various Rear Vision Camera Concerns, Podcast Will
Not Play, Cannot Edit Device List - (May 25, 2016
REPROGRAMMED RADIO

---------------

Some of the items in 15-NA-081 were not complaints we had, but I suspect they are fixes for complaints others have had. Just a heads-up for people like me who may not have had any software updates in a while. We know that our dealers/GM don't inform us when updates are available unless we're there with complaints.

Could you supply the version #s listed on your radio?
I asked in the other thread (http://gm-volt.com/forum/showthread.php?241377-Various-Radio-Bluetooth-Voice-and-Navigation-Issues-2014-15-Volt-Bulletin-15-NA-081)

But never got a response.

Wondering if I already have the latest update or not as mine was updated shortly before the bulletin was released.
Sorry about that.
Correlation of the files shown in your display is difficult as at the TIS2WEB SPS-end the numbering systems are different making the ability to display calibration numbers in the car essentially useless from a service standpoint
(and the reason why you won't see a Volt tech using the center stack display to verify files)

But comparing 2 cars should help (given one was more recently updated) ;)

Where would I find this? Maybe if you listed yours I could find a comparable number on my service receipt.

What I can tell you is that my '14 was built in late '13 if that helps any.

In the car radio menus buried in there somewhere is a listing of a whole bunch of software packages and version #s
I don't know what each means, but perhaps comparing our lists might make something stand out
I snapped these photos after reading about the bulletin initially:

I can go out and look at what my update list shows in a bit. I suspect we have had all of the same ones, and we got them OTA. This could be why my car had never acted up prior to last week. Just for reference, I don't use nav, bluetooth or anything iPhone related, so I would not have seen any issues with those things.

Stand by......

Interesting how different they are.
I thought the first number would be constant (refer to a package for x item) and the version would change
But it seems both numbers change, or perhaps Dave has an entirely different radio version (hardware revision) than ours, needing a completely different set of packages? My build was Jan 2014, so if edk hasn't had any updates, those in common with mine are probably unchanged from the factory.

Either way, I don't think we'll get anything useful out of this comparison without knowing the naming structure :(
Here are mine typed out for future ref:
