2014 with only 67,000 miles. Got a check engine light yesterday. It scans as P1E00 and P0C8B. Seems to charge fine and drive fine on battery or gas even with light on.

Drove it about 50 miles in 3 drive segments, and the light went out.

I‘ve posted the detailed cell graphs here before, just a few months ago and everyone said they looked great. Can post new ones later.

Car had a Service High Voltage error last summer and programming at dealer under warranty fixed it. Also under warranty, replaced charge port around December. Doubt those are related but mentioning.

Thoughts?
Thanks!

P0C8B is a flakey temperature sensor in the battery. The update that fixes the battery cell balancing in most of the Gen 1 model years also allows a couple of these sensors to fail without triggering the SHVCS message. I would have expected the reprogramming done last summer to include that update, but it's possible that you've got just more than a couple flakey sensors. Sadly, they're not repairable.

I found another thread where @WopOnTour states he figured out a way to repair or replace these sensors. I tried a DM, hoping he’s still around, and hoping he’s not too far from Ohio.

Good luck. He just basically disappeared from the forum years ago with no response to messages. As I recall, he's far from Ohio and across an international border "ta boot".
