Tires are practically new. Alignment is good. Pressure is good. I keep them at 35psi cold according to the sticker. I've read some people say to push it to 40psi. Have not tried that yet.

I don't know how old the normal car battery is. How would that effect the 17.1kWh pack?
One thing that could be affecting your range is the outdoor temperature. What's your location? As it gets colder, your range decreases, and your tires will lose pressure. Try airing them up to 40 - 42 pounds cold. You said the tires are practically new - were these replacement Bridgestones, or another brand?

I'm really focused on the used kWh.

The all electric range will fluctuate. (Although the drop in kWh has acirresoinding drop in AER.)

But I am experiencing loss of actual used kWh.

You're doing something different (or the car is).

  • stuck/dragging brake caliper (just dealt with this on my sister's Volt)
  • using more AC
  • driving faster
  • low air pressure in tires. I think what he is trying to say is he charges the car overnight to full state of charge. That use to be 32-34 miles (overnight charging) car has not moved yet. Now he is only getting 26-28 miles on an overnight night charge (car has not moved). My ELR does the same thing. If anyone has an idea we would love to hear from you. I just got back from the Cadillac dealership and they checked the whole system. They said everything is working as designed. My ELR after an over night charge says it’s at full charge at 29 miles EV (car never moved). It use to charge to 34-35 miles every day. (Car not moved) just charged over night.
