Hi,

I have always had trouble with my Volt connecting via bluetooth to my phone. Sometimes it won't play when connected and the info on the screen isn't always correct. It wasn't too bad with my old phone only happened every once in a while. Got a new phone and it was awful. Happened all the time.

I talked to the dealer I bought the car from and found out there was a radio software update and a BCM update that could possibly fix the issue. They went ahead and did the update at no charge since I bought the car there and they are a pretty decent dealer. They told me it would have normally been around $100.

Anyways I highly recommend the update. My radio now sounds better via bluetooth and it connects almost instantly to my phone and the display of the song on the screen is always right and updates quickly when the song changes. If you are having any kind of connectivity issues with your radio it's definitely worth having it updated if you can get your dealer to do it for free. I didn't see a whole lot of posts about it when googling the issue so I wanted to make everyone aware that the update exists.

Can you post the firmware revision you have now? Im have some issues, but it mostly works in my 2014.

thanks,

Is there a way to tell without calling the dealer? It doesn't say the version they updated it to on the paperwork. I will look through the radio settings more and see if there is an about page tomorrow if I remember.
