I think my hybrid battery is toast. I am taking the car to the dealer tomorrow and see what they say. I've been shopping around for a hybrid battery. Greentec has a quote for $11,300 installed with 3 yr warranty. I've found another outfit that has the same battery for $6000 and 3 yr warranty. Best Hybrid Batteries. A local shop will do the install and out the door price for $8500. Anyone use Best Hybrid Batteries. Thanks

let me know how this works out.

I have the tools and feel confident I can remove the defective battery and reinstall a refurbed battery. All the connections (electrical & coolant) are on the front of the battery. The exhaust pipe is adjacent to these connections so it's tight quarters there. If the dealer tells me the battery needs replacing, I am going to ask them how much they charge to reprogram the vehicle. Not sure what all is involved after a battery swap.
