2013 Replace Charging Indicator Light/Switch?

Was wiping off the dash of my Volt and the plastic cap come off of the charging indicator light. I barely touched it so likely broken earlier. I thought I was buying just the cap but it's a switch. Anyone replace this before? The old one seems to have fallen back under the dash so not sure about access.
