If you had to slam it, maybe you left something under the hood which is pressing up on it. Try having someone push down fairly hard on the front of the hood above the latch and see if you can get the handle to move. If it does, hold the handle while the other person lets go of the hood. Maybe you will find the cap to the washer fluid bottle or something else in there.
2013 Hood will not open
Two weeks ago I opened the hood to add wiper fluid, and it was unusually hard to close. The usual drop from 12" did not work, so I actually had to "slam" it shut. Now, when I pull the release handle, nothing happens. The hood remains locked shut.
Does anybody have any suggestions on how to open the hood?
