Hi All, need some advice on making my 2013 Volt base more liveable.
  • Right lower turning light assembly and maybe harness is bad from being cracked and water damage, not sure if anything is related accept for
  • the turn signal fast blinking when turning that way. But other things -
  • both side mirror motorized controls do not function, just stopped one day the mechanicals should be fine -
  • Interior light will not work when door opens making it difficult to enter and exit at night -
  • right rear door indicator shows as ajar always (it is closed) -
  • driver's switches for the rear window controls only works on I think the left rear window but both windows operate in unison, cannot be independently operated -
  • outside door handle locking button unlocks fine but does not lock the car when pushed, can only lock using the keyfob -

All these annoying tickytacky problems I don't know where to begin and hiring the Dealer or a mechanic could turn into a super expensive repair for these strange yet possibly related problems.

Could there be a module or update that would effect all of this?

Lastly the other issues the car has had was
  • the passenger airbag failure and warning light and annoying chime, Dealer said the airbag sensor module needs replacing for like $800, of course never used and it failed 3 years ago.
  • Other issue is the back brakes on I think all EV's do not get used enough to keep working without getting rusted and they seize up or drag on the rotors. Using regenerating braking makes the brake system lazy and sedentary with eventual corrosion and failure, but not too expensive of a repair, just that one would think the brakes should last forever if they aren't being used.

Thanks in advance for any advice, I am handy and can wrench a bit so will try any suggestions within reason.

All your stuff is working poorly, not not working at all. Which suggests that it's not a central cause. I've not the manual in front of me right now, but that has the fuses listed in and I don't THINK they're segregated by side. And the multiple functions being involved makes me wonder about just ... wiring damage at one place that routes to the right side of the car.

Thanks Peter, I've been away from the forum for awhile and only now seeing your response. That is what I was thinking as well that there might be a terminal or module that effects all of these circuits. One thing I forgot was a TPM problem showing a low tire, I know at least one of the tpm sensors are bad or clogged from fixaflat. But one darn wheel has a slow annoying leak.
