So I am trying to swap my 2013 volt back up cam to the 2014 and seem to have some trouble. I swapped out the camera for an oem 2014 camera but when I put it in revers I just get a black screen. Can anyone help me out?

Some general troubleshooting ideas:
* Are you sure the new camera you installed is a good one that works?
* Double check the wiring to make sure the connection is seated properly, no kinked/broken wires, etc.
* Camera is properly mounted - not pointing upside down, no foreign objects blocking the lense
* Were there any problems during installation where you felt like you had to push, pull, press, tighten more than what would have seemed "normal"?

It should be plug and play. I would suspect a bad camera or a bad connection.

Did you have to remove the bumper? How bad was it?

So I think I found the issue. Found a blown fuse lol. Always the last thing you think of is the problem. I am trying to do it without removing the bumper. It's just as hard taking th bumper off or trying to do it leaving it on. I would say if your comfortable removing the bumper it's easier lol

Using the GM camera will not get you the grid. There are aftermarket cameras that have grids, but the wiring is not plug-and-play.
