Have any California 2011 Volt owners been required to have smog inspections passed before registering for 2017? Just trying to figure out when it kicks in.

Have any California 2011 Volt owners been required to have smog inspections passed before registering for 2017? Just trying to figure out when it kicks in.

Yes, 2011 MY have to smog for 2017, but they don't even have to start the car, they just check the ECU record. So make sure you haven't disconnected your battery before you go in, or you will have to drive around an gas for a while to get it checked. (just guessing, not sure what they would do)
