Yes, we have smog checks in CA, but I have a 3 year lease so fortunately I won't have to deal with it. I wonder how many back-alley smog shops are qualified to smog check a Volt.
$2000 Rebate Came!
Cashed my $2000 "Drive Clean Rebate Program" check today. 
I applied at San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District about a month or so ago. Still waiting for the $1500 check from the state, but it's on the way. I just barely got it OK'd before the money started to run dry.
I'm a happy camper.
