I have a perfectly fine set of Bridgestone Blizzak tires left over from our 2010 Jetta TDI that I intend to use on my new 2016 Volt LT. Does anyone know where I can purchase a set of 4 plain old steel wheels in 16" for the Volt ? Any alternative to too expensive aluminum wheels ? Yes, I understand mileage will suffer, but getting around in Wisconsin winters is more important right now.

Suggestions welcome !

Cruze wheel bolt pattern an.d hub size are identical to '16-'17 Volt and the new Bolt EV.

A search on ebay should turn up lots of new/used steel and mag wheels for cruze, which should all fit the gen 2 Volt.

Just specify the 16" diameter and 6.5" width to limit search to the oem size.

For those in Canada I just bought a set of Momo Winter 2 wheels that happen to be 10% off this week at CT so I got a head start on my winter wheel preparations for my new 2017 Volt Premiere. I went with the 16" because I have perfectly good new Michelin Xi3 from my previous vehicle. The online configuration at CT wouldn't recommend these but I went ahead anyways knowing they fit a 2017 Cruze.

These MOMOs come with 73.1 to 56.6 MM center rings as well so nothing else is needed for perfect fitment.

Just in case before mounting my winter rubber on them I went ahead for a trial fitment to see if they clear the front brakes.

They fit great with space to spare!

My apologies for not adding to this thread before. In February I bought a set of four 16" steel wheels from Discount Tire for my 2016 Volt. Local shop mounted my Blizzaks with no problems, but the clearance between the rims and the brake calipers was pretty close. When we took them off in spring they showed no scraping, so I guess they are fine. Also note that the 16" Blizzaks were a little bit smaller diameter than the stock tires/rims and the car sat a little lower. I think we did a bit of snow plowing, but apparently no problems.

Your link to DTD doesn't work - could you post which rims those are (in the picture), with 11 spokes?

Update, 40 minutes later : express_wagon, I see you posted the detail on another thread ("snow tire question") : "Setup is Maxxim Winner 16" wheels with Nokian Hakka R2 tires."
