Yes. Just set your Volt's Home location with your Volt parked in the parking spot where you can charge. The Volt will remember the home location for 6 months, you won't have to set the 12 amp charging option each day.

So I went into settings and then energy and then location based charging and updated the home location and made sure location based charging was set to on. How do I set the charging rate?

From the Home Screen on the Infotainment Center select Charging, then select Charge Limit Preference, select the option for Maximum: 12 amp charging. *

* The Charge Limit Preference setting resets to the Reduced 8 amp setting each time the vehicle is driven. Location Based Charging can be enabled to maintain Maximum 12 amp setting at a specified Home location. **

** Using Location Based Charging:

1) From the Home screen select Settings.

2) Select Vehicle.

3) Select Energy.

4) Select Location Based Charging.

5) Touch Set Home Location.

6) A pop-up will confirm the setting, the compass icon will be lit. In addition, the Set Home Location will change to Update Home Location.

I spent a couple of hours for close to a week just sitting in the driver's seat with the car on and the manual open.
