Has anyone else with a 16/17 had problems getting the trunk to latch? I don't want to slam the trunk so hard I shatter the windows (or generally abuse the car or make noise), but if I don't, about 90% of the time it doesn't completely latch and I get a notice when I start the car.

Is there a way to pop the trunk from the drivers seat and without the remote? I can't find any button or latch and no reference to this in the owner's manual. Thank you in advance!

The bottoms of these cargo 'bins' are velcro so they do not slide around. They fold down to a nice, compact size. They do not block the cargo light either. It was like they were designed for the Volt... Great price too.

I made a trunk organizer for my Volt that does not interfere with access to the charger. I made it out of foam core board held together with hot glue and then painted it flat black. Elastic material stretched between the D-rings holds it in place. It holds a bottle of Windex, a roll of paper...

Does anyone realize just how HOT the black trunk area gets when it is hot out? GM really should make some sort of grab handle that owners can use instead of burning their hand from the black on the hatchback area. I remember when the Tahoes' had this type of handle. Thanks for giving this...
