  1. Generation 1 Chevy Volt (2011-2015)
Does anyone sell a car port that would serve as a standalone charging station for an electric car? My employer isn't likely to install charging stations anytime soon, but I thought if I could put a car port with solar panels on the roof in one of the parking spaces I could charge my car while...
  2. Generation 1 Chevy Volt (2011-2015)
hey guys, I'm sure this has been asked already, but for the people who don't have a garage, but obviously charge their Volt in their driveway, what do you suggest/use to store away the charger in the winter? I live in NY, and I have the EVSE plugged into an external outlet in the driveway, but...
  3. Generation 2 Chevy Volt (2016-2020)
I just got a 2017 this week. Was poking around and noticed that the front door pockets seem to have some unexpected extra space towards the back. It's this just some extra space or does it have another purpose. It might be good for storing seldom used items.

I'm considering purchasing a 2017 Volt when they are released here in TN, but would like some input / help from others who may be in a similar situation as me... We have two kids, ages 1.5 and almost 5. We have two cars: I have a 2009 Nissan Altima, and my wife has a Mazda 5. Clearly, the...

Good news for Santa this year. It is confirmed that a 60" Flat screen fits easily in the Red Volts. I also picked up a full sized boxed BBQ at Lowes this summer and was surprised when it fit.
  6. Generation 1 Chevy Volt (2011-2015)
Please forgive me, but I've spent a lot of time searching for answers to my questions and although I'm sure they've asked and answered many times, I can't find them. My lifestyle is such that I will probably never use any gas. On an average day I drive 15 miles. Should I continue to keep...
  7. Generation 1 Chevy Volt (2011-2015)
Does anyone have the Rear Seat Storage/Barrier accessory on their 2013 Volt? I do, but the removable armrest makes the barrier stick up above the level of the top of the seats. :( Here's a pic of it, but on a pre-2013 model (the way it should fit)...
  8. Generation 1 Chevy Volt (2011-2015)
I apologize if I'm not the first guy to discover this but I haven't seen it posted and didn't find it with a search. I was annoyed at my 12 Ga. 50 foot cord (which I picked up at Frys when I walked by it and saw it was only $26) sliding around in the hatch. When I was messing with the fuse...

Sometimes I am out of town for a week or two. Does anyone know what the best strategy is for storing the Volt while you are out of town? Do you leave it plugged in? Do you NOT leave it plugged in? Most Lithium Ion batteries like to be stored at a 50% charge to preserve the maximum cycle...
