I just don't understand why HD radio is not a part of the 2017 "infotainment" center. It's not even an option. Not a long post, but the point is made.

I am starting this thread at the request of another. I noticed that the new Volt lacks HD Radio. I use it extensively, and do not like the low audio quality in satellite radio, nor do I wish to pay extra for what is free over the air. Given that I can't just replace the head unit in a Volt...

Buying a 2012 techie car one would think it would include digital radio (HD Radio). I know you (GM) is trying to push for XM subscriptions but hey, local radio is needed and analog FM is old hat especially for a vehicle like the Volt. Hopefully there is a software add-on for this as nobody...
