  1. General Motors and General Automotive Topics
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration just released a news bulletin with a “park outdoors” order at risk of catching on fire. This applies to approximately 485,000 vehicles. No, not EV's, these are gas powered vehicles. Today's recalls come after U.S. National Highway Traffic...
  2. Use, Care & Maintenance - Gen 1 Chevy Volt
Hi everyone! The question is simple. Does my 2013 Gen 1 have a gas filter somewhere? There is no issue with the engine, I just wanna change it, it there is one. (Bet is wasnt since it came out of the factory...) Thanks!
  3. Use, Care & Maintenance - Gen 1 Chevy Volt
I run almost exclusively in electric-only mode. The gas in my tank has been there for at least six months if not more. How long can I let it sit there before it "goes bad"? Should I put stabilizer in the tank? Of course I could run in "hold" mode until the tank is empty, but that would screw up...

  6. Generation 1 Chevy Volt (2011-2015)
Wha-Hoo, I just made it to 6 months. The last time I bought gasoline was Labor Day, September 3, 2012. I still have about 57 km range left on the gas tank, but I will probably be buying gas soon. It is really exciting to be able to go this long without having to buy gas. Thank you Chevy.
  7. Generation 1 Chevy Volt (2011-2015)
OK, many of us have remains of semi-stale gasoline in our Volts' gas tanks, but with the cold weather, holiday season travel, and winter gasoline mix, some of us are about to find ourselves in that long-forgotten place called a gas station and encounter E15 gasoline. According to the 2012 Volt...
  8. Generation 1 Chevy Volt (2011-2015)
I find that I am not using gasoline in my Volt at all. The gasoline tank remains full. How long can gasoline stay in the motor before it degrades and potentially harms the motor in some way?
  9. Suggestions for GM - Chevy Volt
Long before the Volt was released GM advised the Volt will run on E85 gas. There are still video's out there advising of this. Is there any word on if the 2012 Volt can use E85 gas? Checkout the link I have posted of a video on Youtube that has been posted by Chevrolet. It mentions "as long as...
