      Hose reels won't work as they depend on running he water through a fixed point where there is a waterproof bearing to allow the reel to spin with respect to the hose. Otherwise you with twist the heck out of the hose or cord in the case of an electrical plug. A hose hanger would work, but that's a lot of work to wind and unwind. I just lay mine in a nearby work bench.
