      Add-on module for disabling ERDTT

      Request "jonesonbay" (ebay.ca) rig up his magic switch for the 2016 Volt. I'm sure he will do so eventually. It fakes the air temp sensor to read about 10 deg C higher. IIRC, he's also a member of this forum.

      It would probably need to be built in the May 2012 timeframe. You can check the build date by plugging in the VIN here:

      If you don't mind installing the hack, this is the best way to go, is totally reversible and will mean ERDTT will never turn on.

      Thanks for comments now i wait comments from ELR and Ampera owners, its more easy to do installation by removing right front wheel and wheel arch but can be little longer than the direct way.       I would highly recommend buying the switch on eBay that allows you to shut off ERDTT.       Install this, made by a member of this forum (not me). I have the 1.0 version installed since Dec '13 with no issues. This is the 2.0 version which is simpler to install.

      The idea of spoofing OAT to prevent ERDTT had been discussed in theory on various occasions here. This is the first time I've seen a kit to do it, however.
